Big changes in 2017! I have always been a bit of a health nut. I try to eat as cleanly as possible, with whole grains, veggies, fish, and fowel (no cow or pig). I have always carried some extra weight around the middle no matter what I have done. It has made me very consous of my body. I have tried dieting, excersise and healthy eating nothing has worked to rid me of my extra.
So in 2017 I am going Primal (as in Primal Blueprint). I started Friday 1/6/2017. There was this ultra runner that I listened to on a podcast. He really inspired me to go primal. He inspired me to want to be a better runner.
I have been doing some research on the Paleo/Primal/Caveman lifestyle and it makes sense to me. Don’t worry, I’m not going carnivor on anyone, I could never give up my veggies, fruit, seeds, and nuts. What I am doing is not eating grains, ligumes, sugar, prosesed foods, and as much free range, organic , chemical free foods as possible. I am also not eating eggs or dairy due to my son’s severe allergies. So that keeps me limited on eateries, but I am a resourseful person. I have always been good at making veggies taste great, and I will learn new dishes along the way.
I am super excited to start my journey.
So far everything has been going great. I haven’t had bad cravings, which I always had a hard time with. We will see as the days go by. -SH
